The KNX Association was founded in 1999 with the mission developing this standard. Since 2006, KNX has become an International Automation Standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3).
As the demand for home automation grows fast, KNX became the European technical standard and an international standard in Asia, Australia, South and North America.
